(16 December 2020)

Rudry Parish Hall will be closing Christmas Eve and regular hirers will be updated when we are allowed to re-open, dependent upon and in line with current guidelines.

The safety of our patrons, staff and volunteers is paramount and we thank everyone for their understanding and support at this difficult time for all.

Following Government guidance to stop social activities to delay the spread of COVID-19, it is with regret that Rudry Parish Hall & Social Centre is closed with immediate effect, with all March and April bookings cancelled. We will be reviewing bookings from May onwards with our hirers as current UK situation unfolds.

We will update the website and our Facebook page towards the end of April to update you all.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at Rudry Parish Hall in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

Any question about your booking or provisionally booking for later in the year – please make initial contact by email to admin@rudryparishhall.org

Welcome to the Rudry Parish Hall website

Rudry Parish Hall is a beautiful rural venue owned and run by the community of the St James Parish in Caerphilly County. The Hall was built by members of the community saving a shilling a week throughout the 1940’s and 50’s. To learn more about this please see the History pages.

In 2009 we were successful in raising over £500,000 to renovate the building including a new green powered under-floor heating system. The building itself is now worthy of its lovely rural surroundings.

The Hall consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a large hall with stage, sound system, stage lighting, projector, bar area, a full set of round and trestle tables and chairs, patio, parking area and a very large playing field with surrounding community woodland.

Our Hall plays host to a variety of community events such as the Bonfire Night, Play Group, WI, Community Lunch, plays, live music and festivals. Please see the Events page for up to date info. There are also a number of regular classes such as Yoga and Ballroom Dancing.

You can also hire the Hall for your family party, wedding, conference or staff training day.

Rudry Parish Hall is a charity and receives no revenue subsidy. So if you need to book somewhere special to hold your event, or want to bring your staff to this wonderful environment you will help contribute to our future. Please see our booking page for contact details.
